Playing solo? (Last Stand)

Can someone help me please?
I'm very curious as to whether I can play The last stand solo.
There's scarse few players and I've just got the game. I'd like to try it out a bit and get a hang of it before I go in with people whom I assume are vets (considering there's only 1000 players online, I'm guessing they're the devout followers of this game.)

However, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to play a solo game.

Its fun and don't worry about playing with vets. In last stand its 3 of you against legions of baddies. Even at my worst I never had a bad exp. The point in last stand is to last as long as possible and reach level 20 but half the fun is just gaining exp to level up you character and play with different combonations to see what works best for your play style. as for few people I noticed that during the week only 20 - 50 peeps are online but on the weekends you can find as many as 800+. If you want add me as a friend. Being a parent though I'm only able to play on the weekends. Laters.

It is "possible" but not in the way you are assuming. You can not start the game by yourself.
You could however try to play the game with just you. You will need two others to join your party and then they leave when the game starts (hopefully they choose very weak characters without any equipment - probably either LG or Farseer because they are the most squishy).
