Does not start

When launching, a window with the message log is displayed for about one second. I can not click on "Setup" or do anything else while this window is shown. After that the application closes down immediatly. Any help is appreciated! :) Thank you!

First, make sure to verify the game files in Steam.

After that, open a Windows Explorer window and type in the following address is the Address Bar:

%appdata%

This will open up the folder location C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming

In this folder you should see a folder named Ion Fury. Rename this folder to

Ion Fury.bak

Now launch the game and try using a lower than usual screen resolution to see if it will open or not.

If not, could you post the contents of fury.log here. This file is located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Ion Fury\

In addition to the above, also be sure to check out your antivirus software to see if it's being shut down by that. You might need to setup an exception rule if this is what's going on.

Thank you, I've just accessed fury.log, but the file is completely empty...

Well, that sounds like the game isn't crashing while trying to initialize the game files, cuz it's not even making it that far.

Have you ruled out antivirus software yet?

Yes, I'm pretty sure that the antivirus software isn't responsible here

"Pretty sure"? I presume that this means that you haven't actually ruled that out yet then.

Given the problem symptom, this should be one of the very first things that you'd want to rule out conclusively.

Fixed it in Win11 , go to the game's executable fury.exe
right click, properties,
Run in compatibility mode set to Windows 8
Enable Run this program as administrator
Enable Use legacy display ICC color management.
Check and make sure all options are not enabled in the Change high DPI settings.

Had the same issue and this solved it
