TY.
If this is the case you just need to install the hotfix, It's been available for at least 2 years or so now.
Where do I download this hotfix? I thought Steam would always install the latest version of the game. I'm also having the problem where I cannot equip my Disperser even though I have shotgun ammo and grenades.
This is assuming that you are running Ion Fury v2.x, and not Ion Fury with Aftershock installed (which would be Ion Fury v3.x). The hotfix patch is for Ion Fury v2.x
Thank you. I'm running version v3.x. A workaround I found was to use the give all weapons cheat which allowed me to access the Disperser. Not ideal, but workable.
It's likely that what you're experiencing is due to trying to use old save game data files from a save that you made prior to installing Aftershock (at which time you would have had Ion Fury v2.x installed) in an Aftershock installation (which is now Ion Fury v3.x). The weapon code went through a fairly substantial overhaul between v2.x and v3.x.
Another option that can be done (for now) regarding old save game files would be to temporarily uninstall Aftershock as that would revert your game back to v2.x so that you could finish off with the old save file in the same version that it had been created with, and then reinstall Aftershock when you're done with the old files.
Thank you very much. I will try this.
