Bilinear/Trilinear texture filtering?
There's a way to filter the textures?

It's not like they want to force you not to use filtering. It just had to be removed because the implementation was incompatible with palette emulation, something which was for the betterment of the accuracy of the GL renderer and, to my understanding, necessary for Ion Fury. As as already been said they're going to add it back in at some point...it's just that nobody knows when that is. EDuke32 is very much in active development so rest assured it will be added back in eventually.

gross

The pixelart look is intentional and personally I find filtering disgusting. That being said it's not even an option at the moment as it was incompatible with changes made to EDuke32 during development of Ion Fury and neither the build that ships with IF, nor the mainline EDuke32 build supports texture filtering at this time, though support is planned further down the line.

Force it on nvidia control panel. Look really sterile though

Filtering texture\sprite art below 720p is heresy!

Apparently they will patch it in later down the line.

Also, could you pixel purists please stop being obnoxious about your preferences?

If you like looking at what appears to be blurred smears on wax paper, good for you.
That's atrocious

To each their own I guess but I can't understand how anyone could like filtered pixelart. To my mind filtering is only good for two things, high resolution texture assets and mipmapping.

Has nothing to do with being purist.... Low resolution art looks objectively low resolution. No amount of vaseline can make it look better\worse

so you don't have idea of how graphics cards and games work dude. i think you still use a hercules 3d in your machine.

No... Until about 96 when Quake came around
Blitzkid Aug 16, 2019 @ 3:41pm
...And fancy graphic cards... you`ve heard of those, yeah?

And I can't understand how anyone can possibly like unfiltered pixels. I remember when I first fired up ePSXe, the PS1 emulator and I was like "Wait, the graphics weren't that pixely on an actual PlayStation". Then I discovered 2xSai and never looked back.

Sometimes with the unfiltered pixels I can barely tell (or cannot tell at all) what some of those elements are supposed to be.

Nobody makes you use it, y'know.
