Because ever since EA took over Popcap Games... It's all been free-2-play, pay-2-win crap now.

If the founder of Popcap is back in the game making business, I look forward to seeing what casual games we get again.

Well, if Slayaway Camp and Space Tyrant are an example, it's a bright future ahead.

Sort of like old PopCap, but not entirely. Everyone in the Seattle studio is ex-PopCap from the early days (as is Jason, obviously), but we're off on an adventurous and new kick. We've still got some of those casual sensibilities working their way in, but we're exploring other approaches we probably wouldn't have been able to get away with at the more casual and more family-friendly PopCap. So - we're a bit more unhinged and the roots of our gaming fanaticism will be a little more apparent. That's the plan, at least! :D
