this game is just nostalgia now, a sad example of what was originally a kinda greedy, but super fun game, slowly turned more and more p2w as time went on. its not even playable anymore anyway with extremely high ping and tons of content thats p2w ONLY, everything used to be obtainable by everyone but now theres lots that only p2w players can use. its sad, but unfortunately, nothing different from most games now.

Don't let my steam playtime fool you, I used to play this game a LOT before it was even on steam.
It used to be a game that thrived in it's simplicity, good score, you get crystals, you upgrade gun and hull and that's it!
And it was awesome!
THIS GAME USED TO HAVE HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF SIMULTANEOUS PLAYERS. Now in a lucky day it will reach a thousand. They had to merge servers because some became ghost towns. They even removed the player counter from their main website out of shame. Notice how they don't show player count on steam. Let that be your lead.
I'm not against developers making money, but last time I played, there was this maxed out 9999 power guy on a 2500 power match, and he wiped the floor with everyone on it. It was the final straw for me.

Honestly, not the same Tanki we used to play in 2009-2013. Don't even bother, go play ProTanki instead.

I played this game 10 years ago and it was awesome, the custom lobbies, turret choices (isida is the best), and gold box drops that used to have adrenaline pumping. Tankis events and designs are also always stunning, this design and media team are really good at making a fun vibe around the game. These days though the game now is filled with bots even though it is advertised as bot free, which is one of 2 main reasons I will not be continuing to play this game. While the other issue, that it's more important to utilize your consumables in a gun fight than pretty much any other tactical option, has always been here.

Great concept, fun to probably play with a bunch of friends, but solo playing with 70% of the players being bots isn't what anyone wants to do.

horrible game horrible devs game has gone to complete waste if you wanna be good at this game better have a thousand dollars to spend just so you can upgrade 3 things in your inventory when there are multiple items has gone down the drain i would not recommend for anybody that use to play or is looking fora new tank game DONT PLAY THIS GAME ,filled with bots and all people do is camp in the back and snipe(imagine dying as you spawn in like call of duty) if you dont have a good augment the powerup for the hull or turret you pick you will most likely lose every fight

"Tanki Online" is a garbage P2W web browser game that's been dumped on Steam to try scam the PC gamers here. I'm surprised this isn't just another trashy mobile app, which raises the question, what's worse? Crappy P2W browser games or crappy P2W mobile apps?

And of course the answer is irrelevant, all you have to know is that this is a cash shop infested P2W scam with no value as a real PC game for PC gamers.
