Steam recently made a built in controller mapper in Big Picture mode if you know how to do it. I don't think there is a profile yet for this.
Also if you own Controller Companion I made a controller profile here(you still have to do some mapping like it says in the discription): http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=679193106
Very helpful, thank you!
what is Big Picture mode? ive seen that option somewhere in settings, would it allow a person to play the game with a 360 controller without still having to use the mouse for camera if you dont have j2k or xpadder etc...? if so would that also work on other games like Jedi Academy and Morrowind?
but could you (or tell me how to) make changes like this so the mouse has 0 controll over the movement?
im using a steam controller and its friggin wonderful except for that fact.
please and thanks for any info.
great idea, and thanks for it. unfortunatley, it acts just like the mouse.
if anyone knows how to unbind movement from the mouse, that'd fix it right up.
thanks for the input though
If you go to the Conrols option screen and click "next set," you'll come to one that says "view lock ON" at the top of the screen.
A good usage of this is when fighting AT-ST's on foot. You can lock the aim at an upward angle so that you can strafe around it in circles while firing without having to manullay attempt to hold the aim steady. It's also useful sometimes for usage with the jetpack.
Just loaded up a fresh game (default everything no save) and it worked out of the box with the config, make sure you're on the default controller settings and not set to use the keyboard's WASD
Hmm, weird doesn't seem to work for me, the air brake on the snow speeder works as does changing camera angle. Directional controls still not working. Back to the drawing board *sigh*
