If i were set on going EXACTLY paladin, i'd multiclass him with priest/wizard to give myself an edge with martial buffs, minor avatars/safeguards/llengrath martial power, summoned weapons etc.
He said Paladin/Barb not Bard. As in Barbarian.
A great Paladin class would be, Bleak Walker Paladin, with either Berath (Neutral) Priest. Or Skaen (Evil) Priest. Or the ice dude works for evil too if you got the dlc. Dark Templar Class.
Is 2H better than dual wield for DPS?
Lol what? Priest is probably the best class in the game.
Troll, I hope. Druid can do the same healing, gets summons and direct damage spells plus tons of equipment to increase power levels of spells (water, wind, frost) +2. Chanter and Paladin can do resurrections (you don't need any, really) and are better classes in total.
PoE Priests suffer from total lack of pre-combat buffs which is D&D cleric's domain. They are therfore utterly meaningless.
