passing of time (does it matter?)
When exploring islands, does it matter how much time you spend? I like exploring every nook and cranny when playing crpgs. One thing I do not like is if you have a time limit. Like Xcom.

You don't, at least for the main quest and most side quests.

That's what I like to hear. Thanks guys and gals.

One more thing. Do places you have visited come back to the map after a while or are they gone for good afterwards?

gone for good. makes it easier to adventure IMO. Unless its an important story related area in which it doesnt disappear in the first place.

Alright. I'm just starting and is roaming around the first island. So much left to do and knowing I have no time limit exploring makes it even better. :steamhappy:

There are time and date checks for some things...and i've only seen one point where the duration was an issue, kind of left me stranded but there was always another way out.
Theres also some very short duration checks as well that you need to be rdy for but usually they are easy to get out of.

Eh? I'm close to the end of the game and haven't skipped a single island, quest or bounty, what are you referring to? Haven't encountered anything like that.

Last part of the Eder quest is time-limited, as suggested in some other thread.

Time checks like the island where you come across a man tied up and about to be executed for being a theif...the real culprit and evidence appears on the beach at night time.

Date checks like the sanguine harvest sword can only be gained on the 16th day of the month

Duration...the lift to old city below nekataka is only down there for you to return for half a day.

Short duration on a legendary warhammer and skull with runestone thing where on pickup the door closes and room fills with sand(got to find a way out quickly)

Short duration on another item on an alter where 4 switches needed to be activated at about the same time.

Right. Forgot about some of them and didn't know about 1-2. Thanks for clearing that up
