Berath's Wrath

so got an affliction from the god Berath for not returning souls to the wheel
-1 on all stats and some counter that does not work saying 0/75 souls.
searched for this in game and on line , zero results. And I don't get an option to return souls, only have Xoti and her lantern giving them to Gaun.

Yes I loaded a POE1 save game, Berath evidently changed her mind as the pallid knight and decided I'm not needed to go after Eothas.

So is there any benefit to loading a previous save besides reminding you that multiple people seemed to have been robbedd of their possessions and all their skills?

/meanwhile back to the other PoE game, path of exile.

I believe the soul count means you need to kill 75 enemies to lift the curse. Returning souls to wheel in compensation for cheating Berath out of the Hollowborn souls.

I thought it was finding souls since I did not have it go up in combat. That's because I am Cipher Beguiler, I don't kill just charm/paralyze, Eder kills for me.

I just got this curse today. The way you get rid of it, is to directly kill 75 enemies via your player character.

So if Eder or whoever does the killing blow then it does not count for that 75. Your character must do the killing blow for 75 of them. It's do-able but just really damn tedious. I've got it up to 10 since getting the curse.

im not too happy about the whole 'god' aspect of this game, its cheap, tacky and poorly done.

I just got hit with this today.ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ lucky it was my second playthrough and i had beraths blessing which gives me +2 to each stat . (Huge irony).

Just say no to the ghosts when they ask to tag along theres about half a dozen on the first island and a few on the others.

I was roleplaying an angsty edgelord and so i got the curse.

I dont think thats right, I had all the ghosts follow me, and I got the curse...

You get it from the history that you selected at the start of the game. If you pledged to berath to send the souls back to the wheel at the end of POE 1, but you instead did something else with them then you get the curse when you draw near to the temple in Nekataka.

Notably, it can't be undead creatures. Anything that is a "Skeleton" or "Risen" No longer has a soul, so it cannot count towards the souls requirement
