Disappointed in portraits!

So I am so excited to fire up PoE2 and I finally get into game, which is runnig great on my system, and I get to the portraits only to find the same old portraits from PoE1. I didn't like them then and I dont like them now. So....

How do I import new portraits into the game? Or if possible which folder do I throw my own portraits into so that they show up in game?

OH! FYI, once the game starts you can chan ge your portrait by going into your inventory and clicking the portrait picture under your portrait. You can manually select every portrait in your folder there. I didn't realize this earlier. Actually forgot from PoE1.

thats a nice small pack... go farther up in the convo and download from that drop box, u can download tons of male and females ones and just drop them into the right folder, i left the default directory path also.

Ok thanks for posting this, I forgot I could change my portrait after the game started. I am going to have download some as well. I was sad to see the same ones from PoE1.

Why do these games still even use separate portraits? Why not just have the portrait look exactly like the character you create like in Divinity: Original Sin? Seems easier than trying to have painted portraits that end up limiting your character creation.

If you prefer limited character customization then I guess that's your thing. I've always found it annoying making a character and then not finding a painted portrait that matches it so I'm forced to change my character or have mismatched portrait/character model.
