If you do then dont pick multiclass as you get locked out of those 2 rows.
In my first playthrough I did what dixon suggested and only picked non multiclass roles when i didnt know what did what.
Just a side note to this, don't neglect Intelligence if you're making a barbarian one of your multiclass options. The larger AOE and duration increases from Int help a lot with a barbarian's carnage and other abilities. Depending on the Ranger subclass, Int could be helpful for duration boosts there as well.
It's extremely important for Paladin as well, which would also make a great multiclass for Ranger.
Most of your skills rely on your companion, but you are the having 2 characters that autoattack, instead of one that has actual skills.
If you REALLY want tho, you should pick some defensive class like Paladin or Fighter maybe? That way you will have a somewhat passable Paladin / Fighter AND a pet companion.
Thing with Multiclasses is...well, they are crappy to be honest. Mostly because melee classes have NO advantages whatsoever over ranged ones. Fighter, Paladin, Monk, Fighter and Barbarian are straight up trash. As a magic class you can just buff yourself with
So for all intents and purposes, the best melee classes are Wizards / Druids. Self-Buffs are 0,5 seconds base and do not trigger recovery time. So a fight begins, you slap 4 buffs on yourself and go in.
At least works on Path of the Damned for me.
I see literally not a single advantage for the melee classes. In the tabletop / pen&paper it was evened out with additional feats. Here? Meh.
