Personally havent played one but I'd probably go Stilleto because it has the highest base armor penetration.
Goes back to Paul Barnett's lies about the then upcoming Warhammer Online game. He promised a character class called The Hammerer, a class that builds up momentum smashing things. That class ended up scrapped. I ended up playing a dwarf engineer and a human battle priest.
Because accuracy is important, Rapiers are good weapons but good luck killing a construct or skeleton with one. The game hands out enchanted swords like candy, but that doesn't stop them from sucking, Seriously, one out of every two enchantable weapons I've found is a sword.
Daggers are okay, but it depends on what your character is doing. A middling defense doesn't really help you. Either focus on defense, in which case dagger and shield can be useful. Or focus on offense, in which case there are better weapons. Rogues have good offense, but they also have an ability that makes all characters they're engaged with flanked and distracted, so a dagger and shield Rogue or Swashbuckler works well.
Dagger + Hatchet works wonders for defense AND offense!
Stilletos are good for ambushing enemies because of it's penetration.
Lot harder for an enemy to wreck me if they die before they ever get close.
Just focus the mages/priests first.
