Xoti collecting souls?
Is there a choise between letting Xoti collect souls, or letting the main character do it? Would there be a diffirence from letting Xoti do it or the main character?

Please excuse grammar, spelling mistakes and such.

Ive collected some souls myself and never saw any use of it. Xoti advances her quest by doing it though.

I mean, you kinda release them into adra or smth and with xoti there is choice.

The more souls xoti takes, the faster she advances in her quest.

As for metaphysical question, it doesnt matter, both xotis lantern or the watcher can hold lost souls untull they release them in an Adra pillar.

Based on the decisions she takes, inspired by your talk, you can upgrade her lanter in one way or another...

there are positive souls and negative souls which can affect xoti's quest if you havent completed it yet. So you can choose to collect those negative/tormented souls by yourself or xoti. Overall as long as positives number more than negative xoti's quest will go normal if not xoti will randomly do what she wants instead of follow what you said.

Just giive them all to xoti. You aren't gonna do anything with random souls (If it's an "important" soul for a quest, you'll grab it regardless), and xoti needs them to advance her quest.

I keep the the negative souls and let Xoti have the positive souls. Also you can prevent her from taking any souls if you want

Do any of that make any difference though? She only goes good or evil depending on your dialogue choices, if i remember correctly

i'm not sure on that and true you point her in the direction of good and evil.

Edit: I can understand some players not happy with the idea of her taking souls when the watcher who was charged by Berath to collect the souls. I for one am in that boat and not happy about that but you can prevent/stop her from taking souls which I have done
