Ah, that explains it, thanks!!!
Only available for real time with pause. If you selected turnbased mode at the start of the game then its not available to you. In real time mode select either character by clicking on their portrait you will see options pop up on top of the character portrait. Right click on the purple head (looking side ways and/or with a red streak across it) and it will take you to AI settings page and at the bottom of this page is a button called AI editor. Clicking this button will take you to a much more involved sets of options that you can incrementally set for your characters. You will know the AI is active when there is a green border around the purple head. There are two modes, one is basic attack mode that will only attack enemies with regular strikes and then there is a mode that follows the settings you have tailored in the editor.
I tough I'm gonna go crazy for not finding 'AI behavior'.
Yeah I am using turn based too. Not sure if I want to stick with it though...
There is no AI behavior for turn based. AI is so your enemies will act in real time so you're not pausing every 0.5 seconds to issue new orders. Such a problem doesn't exist in turn based because you act one turn at a time.
