Vampire: The Masquerade - Redemption

How do you build characters somewhat optimally?
I just got Serena. I've been building both Christof and Wilhelm as melee fighters but she definitely seems like a summoner of sorts.
What are good target skills/stats for each character? I'm pretty sure Christof should be melee and Serena Mortis/magic focused, but is this also the best use of Wilhelm? I gave his Claws skill a couple upgrades, not sure if that's a good idea.

Sharing link to an old thread that is very useful if you've never played the game before... and so I don't plagiarize myself, lol.

Enjoy!

I played through the game several times; twice -- a few years back and over 20 years ago -- with the built described in the linked post. It was by far the most optimal.

It doesn't really matter how you develop Serena, Will, or any other character. Just keep them low on blood so that they don't waste it all by firestorming summoned wolves and rats for you. So, considering the awful AI, it probably makes the most sense to prioritize physical attributes for your companions. Yet, again, it doesn't really matter since, by the time you reach the Tremere Chantry if not the Nosferatu Tunnels, you will be practically unstoppable all by yourself.

Well I didn't suffer as badly as the guys in that post, but I didn't realize how busted Majesty was 'til the Giovanni Warehouse and Theft of Vitae even later lol. The info about this game is virtually nonexistent.

Future readers:
Focusing on Dex/Str/Wits (in that order) for the melee fighters seemed to help, and after giving everyone Heal/Feed (you were right about Feed not seeming to get better after 3 dots) I gave them one fight boost like blood strength or Celerity. According to the fan wiki, Potence helps DPS the most due to some hidden stats, which I didn't realize until I beat it.
I kinda used Serena/Lily as casters just to screw around the disciplines, but none of the party assistance or damage spells I tried were really worth it besides Majesty. Going down the spell rabbit hole takes away from combat stats, so I wouldn't bother with any of the Intelligence/Wits/Appearance ones for your brawlers, unless you really want to focus on making Christof as jacked as possible.

The only parts of the game that were really pissing me off were the Tremere with their stupid freeze/lightning, maybe the Nosferatus' forced rampage, and the Tower of London having no blood was annoying. The rest was due to jank like bad controls or the clock tower sunlight.

I'll try it with the AoR mod next time. Fun time overall.

The stats I give Serena's character are the same, a fighter both in melee and in her clan arts.
