Vampire: The Masquerade - Redemption

Party Leveling Guide?
I think I have scoured the internet pretty thoroughly without luck. I've read about leveling to take advantage of certain monetary exploits and how each attribute has an affect on your character, but what about basic tips on spending points for other individual party members? Basic direction would be helpful or if there is a guide out there I missed...

Thank You

There is no right or wrong way of distributing stat points and the game already sets each playable coterie member up with the disciplines they already have. Stats will vary depending on each of your coterie's disciplines, which the guides already explains the purpose of each stat, and your intended functions they will perform during game play.

To quote the wiki on attributes needed for tomes to learn to disciplines, it should hopefully give you a better idea of what I mean:
Most Discipline tomes do not have requirements; here are the exceptions. Note that many disciplines will have differing requirements for individual skills within the same discipline group, and the requirements for tomes are often different from the skills as well.
  • Thaumaturgy-Blood Rituals, Lure of Flames, Blood Magic, all require 25 Intelligence and Wits. Hands of Destruction requires these, and also for Humanity to be lowered from its base of 70 to 60 (Christof starts with 60 in single player but player choices can raise it by 50, not past the maximum of 100)
  • Protean and Auspex require 25 Perception
  • Mortis, Numina (human only) and Obfuscate, all 25 Wits
  • Animalism and Dominate both require 25 Manipulation
  • Dementation 25 Charisma
  • Faith (human only) = requires 25 Faith. The Faith replaces vampires' Frenzy on the character display of humans

Since Christof is your main character throughout, he is going to be the one you want to beef up in everything since he's already weaker in comparison to the others who join him during the Dark Ages. (Personally though, I have played this game a billion times already so I prefer cheating up the arse for a quick playthrough. But that's just me.) Read the link I posted as the source for the quote above to get a deeper understanding for each stat, especially for each coterie character's disciplines.

And lastly, this is an old walkthrough and very well written: https://www.ign.com/faqs/2003/vampire-the-masquerade-redemption-walkthrough-393815. It will give you a basic idea of who-gets-what-tome, where to find the best items, important stats, etc., etc.

Thanks for the info. I haven't been micromanaging the other party members during combat typically. I have seen Wilhelm use claws on occasion. Do the party members tend use their higher abilities on their own often enough?

Sadly yes - and it can be a real headache sometimes. Especially when they're running around doing their own thing and/or draining their blood pool where they may enter frenzy and start feeding on you, other coterie members, or enemies. You may also want to keep LOTS of Awaken scrolls on hand.

If you are playing fairly as I think you are, then I suggest grouping everyone in a certain area and disbanding them so you can play each one as needed. (Since Wilhem loves using claws so much, if you beef up his Strength and Stamina... along with maxing Feral Claws (I think is what its called), Celerity, Potence and Fortitude, he can pretty much slice and dice his way through anything until Christof gets stronger.) I would also pick up discipline rings and amulets as early as possible to reduce blood costs on disciplines.
