A problem here...

Hey guys. I am installing the game to replay it one more time. Unfortunately after the launch, my game would not recognize my mouse or keyboard inputs...
The game starts and runs but once i get to the menu, i cant choose any of the options and start the actual game. The mouse just wont move. The music still runs normal and my fps counter still moves from 60 to 61 etc which means the game didnt just freeze.
Did any of you run into this issue? Is there any way to fix it?

Depending on your OS if it's a newer one like Windows 7 on up then you may need to download the Unofficial Patch for it mate. Here's a link with some info. for ya. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Ya I just realized that. lol Sorry mate. lol Real Homer Simpson moment there. Doh!! lol I was on my way back to fix my post. lol Ya caught me. Lmao!!!! I am still on my first cup of coffee so it's still early for me and I am running on brain boot up still. lol Have you tried running in admin mode and all that good jazz or alt tabbing to see if popping out of the window and back in gives you the mouse?

Yeah, tried running in admin and in DPS compatibility... Still nothing. Tried reconnecting my mouse while the game is running to force it to recognize the mouse. Still nothing.

Ok what OS are you running the game on and what resolution are you running it at?

Well without knowing I am gonna take a guess and say it may have to deal with your resolution. This is a fix you can try and see if that works out for ya mate.

Ya that's what that fix is for. I need to drop him the link for that as well. The VTM link is good on that page, but I need to drop the updated DGVoodoo link. I think this is what he needs.

It's possible to fix it also by scaling the resolution down I think. I can't recall. I have the old cd version myself and been meaning to buy the Steam version for some time now. I wouldn't think there would be that much differance though. Sadly alot of the old sites for this game with mods and fixes are down so it's hard to find stuff unless someone has an old back of it they can upload online again. Makes me wish I had uploaded alot of my old stuff before my pc back then went down because I had an awesome collection back then. Especially for mp games.

Also editing this. I just found an unnoficial update here too as well. This may help him out also. Try that one first mate.

You may want to download that patch while you still can mate. The official ones are down, but the unnofical one still works. Ya'd think it'd be the other way around. lol Usually patches like these will fix all those type of issues.

Are you playing it on the same rig as you did last time? Did it run fine before without having to patch it or anything? What OS are you on? o.O

Oh one other last thing on a side note in general. The offical patches seem to be working now. Had to hit them afew times. So maybe was just an issue with the server, but wanted to note that also for anyone who needs to know just in case.

Damn... Now when i start single player game... after Moravia video I go straight to "That night in the convent..." everything is red... no textures on anything and Christof is vampire already? O___o

Oh heck nah. lol You supposed to be fixed brother. lol You not supose to break the crap after we fix it. lol You stay fixed. lol Are you still on compatablity mode and is it for xp, sp 3 and running it in admin.?
