Vampire: The Masquerade - Redemption

Vampire: The Masquerade - Redemption

Game is fun + playable on Windows 10
Just make sure to google "vampire redemption widescreen patch" and download the patch (very easy.) Then, google and download DGVoodoo (latest version works fine.) Copy Vampire.exe from the Widescreen patch and the 3 files in the MS folder of the DGVoodoo download to your game directory and bam, done. You may or may not need to "disable high DPI settings" in the compatibility settings of Vampire.exe (I had to, otherwise the game was zoomed in a weird way.) These are all very simple steps. After this, the lighting works great (you will need torches for dark areas, the game is designed that way. Don't worry, they give off good light after you install DGVoodoo) and the game runs very well on my Win10/GTX 970 rig.

For an extra tip you can also set the resolution to 3x the normal resolution with DGVoodoo and the graphics become crisper. Just note that none of this is possible without downloading the DGVoodoo app. Your in-game Brightness slider won't even work without it. Set the game to 1920x1080x32 (yep, it's playable in 1080p) and have fun! :)

Redemption is a quality, atmospheric & charming romp. I played it for the first time a year or so ago after playing Bloodlines and enjoyed it a lot. It's especially great if you're into the World of Darkness lore from Vampire The Masquerade - Bloodlines. Just don't go in expecting a Bloodlines type of experience (they are totally different games, yet Redemption is still very good.) There's lots of lore to explore, an interesting story, a large variety of locations and fun vampires that can join your crew. I believe there are a few story-altering decisions to make, too, though again, nothing quite like Bloodlines in that regard.

Now go play it. :)
