Glyph Help (spoilers inside)

Hey all, I need help with the glyph section on stage 2. I assume that hovering over the sphere should do something, but it doesn't. Same with right clicking or elft clicking and holding. I've tried to use whatever sequences I've been able to notice on the screen but no dice. Either I'm missing something obvious or there is a graphical glitch that is not allowing me to see what I'm supposed to see. Please help!

I am not. It seems that's the issue. I've been staring at them but they're just very glimpses bright red-white flashes containing no glyphs. At least none I can see. I wonder if this is an issue with frame rate or refresh rate on monitors or something.

Also there is no difference in activity that I can see between hovering over vs. holding left mouse click over it.

Im stuck here at that glyph input part also.
Loving it so far, but a slight shame that when I quit at that glyph sequence I would have to start the entire science experiment again?

Anyway, I can kind of see something that looks like the images in the sphere, and Im fairly sure that is the solution. But jeeeesus that crazy ass flashing is mental and I literally cannot bear to look at it long enough.


I know the answer lies within the sphere as before, but cos of that evil strobe effects I literally cannot see what is right in front of me to proceed and its ass because I see no other way to get that code other than looking it up here or elsewhere.

Ive tried clicking the sphere, holding the mouse button as before but to no avail. I hope it isnt a bug.

Elsewhere someone actually suggested taking a rapid series of screen caps on the flashing sphere rather than melting their retinas and getting a headache trying to see through it one symbol at a time?

Im just going to have to wait for the collective wisdom of the Steam community on this. Ive even tried google images as not found a walkthrough anywhere yet.

I love this game so far, its Amazing AND Beautiful tbh but that puzzle is like aaaargh since the means to solving it seems to be blocked by the visual phenomena in that sphere.
If I gaze into the sphere for more than a few seconds, then this is what I receive:

Bump. I dunno, I can't see a damn thing. I've stared at this flashing lights for minutes and it's killing my head. There are no glyphs I can see. For now, this game is unplayable.

This is driving me crazy! I've left the game open for two days now because I don't want to loose my progress. I just can't see anything. It would be great if someone could just post the solution so I can get on with the game. I've tried to find walkthroughs but no dice.

Update. I finaly found a Youtube video and what was shown on their video was straight up not in my game. It must be a graphical error or something. The symbols are clear in the video. I spent more time than I care to remember stairing at flashing ball and finding nothing.

I have carefully writtten down the symbols on a cunning bit of paper, paused and noted at exactly 36 minutes and 58 seconds in Doohickey's video clip.

I just have to start that chapter again, but oh well it was a fun experiment, so may it continue.

Just finished this part myself. It seems like there is something that triggers the clues. First time i hoered over the the sphere, it just pulsed, so i tried a few things trying to use the symbols on the screen. I checked again, and then the symbols of the static side were flashing. So i tried a few just random combinations. then I checked again and the answer was given. I know it not really helpful, but maybe it was a timing thing?

I agree with comments above. Couldn't make any sense of the flashing strobe images to solve the puzzle, had to use a walkthrough. What a horrible way to deliver clues to the player.

I agree - not because I don't like the flashing/strobe (I do!), but because on my laptop it only showed each glyph for 1/50th second, once, NOT like the strobe effect in the videos people have posted. I would have been able to work with the strobby glyphs just fine. In my case, couldn't see any glyph long enough to discern one from the other. Seems like they didn't do enough testing on enough computers/video-cards/settings-levels. Really needs a way changing that, as 100% unsolvable on my machine, while the rest of the game plays fine. Now had to come here looking for the answer. Boo.

Thanks all, I was stuck on this chapter too because of this puzzle... I tried to understand the kind of map and to match symbols, but it's totally useless, and I didn't had the strobing symbols either... In the end the puzzle doesn't make any sense ? Very disappointing

Sorry for the necro, just wanted to say, I solved the puzzle by hovering my cursor over the sphere so it started showing me the flickering glyph symbols that pressed ESC to pause the game each time, and take note of each pair of symbols it showed, then entered them on the terminal, one by one.

The flashing red glyphs were really hurting my eyes, bad crack.

I'm necro-ing this and I don't even care. This puzzle is awful. The glyphs did display properly on my end but the flashing effects while trying to focus on blurry quickly changing symbols hurt my eyes badly, gave me a headache, and made me nauseous. I was physically unable to look at the solution for long enough to solve the puzzle. Without someone else's video of the solution I would have had to give up.
