King Midas Lvl up question

King Midas is now lvl 21 but if i change the hero it stop lvl up did i have to choose a special on beacause at the moment i use Adeline. Greetings from germany :)

I just unlocked Midas, so I am not sure exactly. BUT, the xp he receives is based on overall gold gained across all your whole game. I assume that means that even if he stops leveling up, it will catch back up eventually. Most likely, the issue is that you stopped gaining enough gold to make a significant impact on his experience bar. Also, you can hover your mouse over the bar to see the exact amount of xp he has. If he is not leveling up, that number will never increase. If it increases by even 1 point, it's just moving slowly yet still moving.

Make sure you have autocast back on of course, but also note that Adeline boosts your research by much more than she boosts your building gold, so you will want to use all that knowledge to boost your research levels - particularly if you have let "idle profits" research lag while you had Kenny as your champion, which is a common issue as you don't need to research that while you have an energy based hero operating for a while.

I'm pretty sure knowledge just strictly goes up by some relatively constant factor per new hero. The reason why their numbers are all over the place is because there's a big difference in the amount of base research generated by energy/rage/mana mode themselves, so the hero modifiers have to account for that. As long as you don't have your idle/click research at some unbelievably low levels the new hero pretty much is always better as soon as you get them.

The huge difference there going from an Energy Hero to a Mana Hero is that its not just the hero multiplier but also the idle skill itself that boosts knowledge while in mana mode. So the first knowledge run you do on Adeline earns a massive amount allowing you to upgrade Idle a few times straight away even if you have kept it up to date.
Even with the best of planning early Adeline is a mass of research before it settles down and proper gold can be earned.
