Dear magnificent goats and newcomers,

We are overwhelmed by the number of players that have joined us during the last 24 hours! Thank you for staying at home and helping prevent the expansion of COVID-19 by goating around in our quirky FGS (first goat shooter). We encourage you to be active both in Got of Duty's Discord Server[discord.gg] and the Steam forums, where we will answer all your doubts, suggestions and questions about the game.

Following yesterday's #PlayWithTheDevs event (which was the most viewed streaming on Steam worldwide for a while!), we have created a daily event calendar for this week! We want to gather all of you in the most active hours of Steam in Europe, where the COVID-19 is currently more present, to play Goat of Duty together.

We are also holding more #PlayWithTheDevs streamings in the following days. You can check out all the events in the calendar down below, but these are the events we are doing this week:

• Goatmmunity Gathering (Evening): Every day between 4-6 pm CET/8-10 am PST. Come & meet new goat friends while playing Goat of Duty!

As an Italian developer and a Spanish publisher ourselves, we are aware of how this situation can escalate in every part of the world. That's why to keep you all entertained during these tumultuous times, we are joining with Steam to offer Goat of Duty for free during the following two weeks, between March 17th and March 31st.

Your participation in this survey will help us decide the future updates of the game: new content, features, tweaks and more!

As you know, we've been updating the game with monthly new content, introducing new goatstumes, new maps, new game modes, leaderboards, and so much more. We are still introducing new features to Goat of Duty, but this time, we would like to test everything that we have in store for you before fully launching the game. That's why we decided to extend the Early Access period for Goat of Duty!

These new features and ideas we have in store include match modifiers, host spectator, gameplay tweaks, competitive elements... We will introduce them and play with you together really soon, we cannot wait to announce what we are working on!

We are listening to you constantly, tweaking Goat of Duty and adding new content based on your feedback. That's why we are preparing a survey about Goat of Duty to improve it in the right direction. All the participants will enter a raffle to win a special prize.

In this time of joy and festivities, the goatiest of goats are ready to face new, deadly adventures. This is it: the time has come to introduce one of the biggest updates of Goat of Duty to date! Many new features are coming today to this quirky arena-shooter. Take a look at them!


Two majestic sci-fi towers facing each other, and in the middle, a huge, empty pit. It looks like the perfect place for cybernetically enhanced goats to wreak havoc. Just so you know, our main source of inspiration for Battlegoats is Facing Worlds, the classic map from Unreal Tournament! Many hours were spent on that floating island. Ah, the memories...

In this new game mode, two goat teams have to compete against each other, capturing three areas around the map. The team that controls these zones during the longest time wins. All the maps, including Battlegoats, can be played in this game mode. Simple. Easy. GG.

• Domination Goat Points count on the global leaderboard as the other game modes, while also having its own leaderboard. You may be a NOOB in other modes, but Domination could be your time to SHINE.
  
• New entries into Goatipedia related to Domination Mode. Read them, please.
  
• Tweaks on the ranking algorithm for some game modes. I'm a goat, don't ask me how this works.
  
• We heard you: you told us the easiest bots were too hard, so we lowered their intelligence. Now, they should be more manageable.

Fixed Bugs

• When you open a leaderboard, your score was not highlighted and focused correctly. Not cool when you want to brag.
  
• Chinese/Japanese and Russian characters on leaderboards names were displayed as ??????. Weird.
  
• Goats spawned in the middle of nowhere if they wait until the lobby timer reaches 0. Spooooky.
  
• A typo on the ranks score: when you lost points, your new score was shown as "--X". That's not a number, so we figured out it didn't make sense.

This is our last update of the year, but behold: 2020 will be the goatiest of years, with new content, features, and events coming to Goat of Duty! Stay tuned to know more about what's to come.
