No Multithreading?
Exporting a basic 7 minute video - no effects, just trimming. On an i5 6500 with 16GB of RAM. It's taking a lot longer than I would expect from any other video editing software I've used and only 25% of my CPU is being used by the x264enc7.exe task.

I'm assuming that there is no multi-threading, even on basic encoding. Is there any plan to turn this on, and/or use GPU acceleration?

GPU acceleration would be nice. I have the Master's Edition from the website.
I prefer to use vidpad for its ability to do custom resolutions which cyberlink doesn't do but cyberlink is so much faster it makes video pad feel painful

Damn. I wanted to buy it, but if there's no multithreading then what's the point on modern hardware? lol. Dev should make a reality check. Otherwise seems like a good software, but no multithreading makes it inferior even to ♥♥♥♥♥♥ free programs.

You might want to try the most recent version. They just added lossless exporting, which means the parts that aren't being modified (i.e. have extra effects or layers) it won't reencode. Speeds everything up a fair bit.

At least.

I tried the free version years ago and it was very slow but it doesn't make my HP laptop hot. Also i can multi-task and even play a AAA racing game. Other video editors are faster but some of them make my CPU & GPU hot. Also with faster editors, i can't play intense racing games and if i multi-task it may cause my system to hang or crash.

Having said all that, with Video-Pad free version, it took a few hours to render a 1 hour video. With Cyberlink it took only about 30 minutes i think depending on how much alteration was made to the original video. By the time i use CyberLink i was already on my new desktop with better cooling so it doesn't get very hot but i can't always safely multi-task and it usually crash if i overclock CPU and RAM too much. Totally hanged, have to press the power button to turn off the PC.

i have an i7 - it takes less than 10 minutes to encode a one hour video - when i had an i5 the same task took about an hour -
Would you like to have a trial of Moviemator Video Editor which supports animation with keyframe.

While there is now the option for GPU coding, it does not help with the editing being such a painful job. Ryzen 5, 12-threaded cpu used 75% with only 7 threads fully used? What? GPU sitting at a cool 5%.
