anti cheat really messed my pc up

so pc had no issues prior to me playing the game. while the game was installed it would just turn off my pc no warning no blue screen just off. then when i deleted the game and anti cheat from the prompts i got said it was gone but i had issues after delete and after everything i tried to do a dio on my pc and crashed again in the middle of the dio then i got locked out of my pc in the end (pc said i had no pin any more and could not make a new one or anything would just take me back to lock screen) needed to do fac reset but even now games that only took 40% max of my gpu now take 100% of it at lower graphics really really dont want to buy a new gpu because i am broke atm and the fact it was perfectly fine before hand kinda upset. ps after fac reset pc running fine no crashes or anything at all only thing not running good now is my gpu

the anti-cheat turned of your cooling program more than likely. it kicks on during harder gameplay and GG sees it as a problem and kills it. Check your cooling software kick it back on. I have been seeing a ton of issue due to GG mine included discord closing and not being allowed to reopen while in game.

I had a less severe issues, after running the game for a few hours my windows started throwing errors left and with just about everything,then BsOD started happening a few times a day. After the first BSod I'm like nah, this isn't worth my computer. I uninstalled HD2 and went on a file hunt for gameguard to make sure it was really gone but my issues persisted. It took me all week of doing driver reinstallations and minor windows repairs to get that ♥♥♥♥ under control and it's still alittle wonky. Programs randomly crashing when this was never an issue before installing HD2. Never have I ever installed a published game and had it bring in what is essentially Malware but there's a first for everything I guess.

I'm glad Factory resetting worked for you. Your 100% usage issues are probably due to missing drivers rather than anything Gameguard did before you nuked your system

sad thing is i was 100% ok before hand but now i dont know how to do the the driver ♥♥♥♥ so i might need to take it somewhere to get them to look at it but i have not had any issues after fac reset aka nuking my pc

Rather entertaining how these are isolated incidents with no real proof other than he-say-she say moments. You know, there is a window's event viewer, right? It logs your blue screens with an error code. Track said error code to find the problem with your BSOD, an anti cheat ain't causing that.

also idk if those logs there any more because i had to nuke my pc but u give me the steps i will take a look but considering i dont have anymore issues after nuking my pc and the fact i am still suffering trying to get my ♥♥♥♥ back and all of my personal files i lost do to having to nuke my pc u can step off i have no reason to be making a complainant besides it ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with my pc and on top of that i love the game its fun as ♥♥♥♥ but i cant play it do to the issues i had and i never made a complaint about any other game because i never had any issues so i am not seeking peoples attention and none of u had been any help but ryan so ya thanks for the pointless comments i dont need them i need help getting my pc back

maybe not but i am getting a lot of comments that dont help me i am not super good with computers so i dont know how to run some of these things to see what is wrong with my pc i need comments like that so i can look into this issues so i can fix my pc but also sorry because i had a lot of personal files i could not back up and lots em

My event viewer had nothing but warnings before I installed Gameguard, then it was like whackamole trying to get everything to stop freaking out. The issue with Gameguard in particular is that it doesn't just observe and report it proactively tries to attack potential cheats. If it false flags a memory release from a core systems file there's a chance that file could be gonzo. That happens to the wrong file you have a picture instead of a computer. These severe events are isolated but they are happening and if you look up a history of other games that run Gameguard you'll see that this is nothing new.

Running this game killed two of my SSDs after a mid-game hard crash. That anti cheat is causing actual hardware damage.
