Cheaters are spawning Super Credits
Hey, I wanted to bring this to light, seems like there's some sedition going on where cheaters will spawn credits and unknown objects/stratagems out of empty-looking hellpods, and where the super credit objects will follow you around, making you accidentally pick them up if you're trying to interact with different objects in the level. Seeing as super credits are shared squad-wide, it reminds me of a similar situation to GTA Online where hackers could just forcibly add currency to your account.

Here is my video evidence of this weird stuff happening:

I literally just came from a game where a Chinese dude was spawning Super Credits. I reported him and disconnected. I'm hoping I don't banned for it.

Yeah, I noticed that too. I already added them to my block list but it's discouraging to see that these kinds of lobbies are being hosted public instead of private/friends only.

Don't worry this AC doesn't ban, if it can detect it, it closes the game. I have not heard of a single ban yet.

True, which just gives the cheaters more time to improve the cheats at no cost to them.

So after all the defence they ran for this rootkit "anticheat," it doesn't even stop cheaters.

Well it actually does stop Cheating attempts, but no not all of them. Kinda like Valhalla said, by not banning them they just have all the time to develop the cheats so they can bypass it.

The reality is no AC stops all cheaters, and they will just develop new ways it's a constant battle to prevent them.

Also anyone using Linux cuz there is no place for the AC to hook they can kinda do whatever as it won't be able to block any cheat program. Not trying to imply all of them cheat just that it's super easy when there is effectively no AC on Linux for this game.

Sony don´t care.

You can see it in the report system. -> only cosmetic and no function :awswvara:

Yeah, It probably was never the main intention to stop game play cheaters, instead it was there to stop people from cheesing the micro transactions or just duping premium credits so people would have to choose to grind or pay up. I guess if the claim that people are spawning credits is true then seems like it didn't go as planned either. A shame really, I would've bought this game if it weren't for the rootkit AC.

It's a never-ending game of cat and mouse. The best that honest players can do is report that it's happening because I do recall reading that it was specifically for protecting their bottom line.

You don't want to ban cheaters like this immediately. As the devs develop countermeasures to the cheats, they also want to track the accounts/users themselves. Since super credits can't be sold (like gold in MMOs) only the account creating the credits can benefit from them. But for example, if people are creating accounts, loading them up with super credits, and then selling those accounts to other players, that's something the developer/publisher could use in a court case against the cheat creators.

and... did Rockstar ever fix the problem, no. I'm pretty sure 99% of the players on GTA Online have used cheats or are active cheaters.

I played a lot of gta online never cheated! Lol
As to did they fix it? Idk haven't played recently but appernetly about 3 mo ths ago they started using battle eye, apperbelty Proton isn't enabled on it or something so steam deck can't play it :aushrug: idk not my wheel house. But yes they have taken steps, they also enabled all work to be done in private lobbies so you can't be trolled by cheaters.

No it doesnt and also if you gi e the name and profiles of these cheaters in here you'll get banned from the forums because or "naming and shaming"... I know it's laughable but it's true.
