Why not EAC?
Cuz it's owned by epic and they are in legal battles with epic over fortnite, also most likely.

EAC would be a much better solution, sure it's just as useless at catching cheaters, but it is far less invasive and doesn't harm peoples PC's.

There is a book on Amazon about how to defeat GameGuard, which was written a decade ago and still apparently works.

They are upfront they answer in their q&a to help protect the major orders and microtransactions. That's it, the whole reason.

Counter-Strike 2 VAC dosent work

Team Fortress 2 VAC dosent work

Black Ops 3 VAC dosent work

Modern Warfare 2 (2009) VAC dosent work

what would work is if they used an Anti-Cheat that is kernel level and works well and effective

at least it exists and it works with linux

+1 Yeah it works with Linux while it can't infect your PC as Rootkit, but i still think that VAC would do a better job, than nguard GG.

anyways, better nguard gg as EAC or BattlEye... im glad that only Windows PC's are cursed from nguard. Most Windows user don't care about Security and loved to have a Rootkit on their system. GTA V is cursed for Windows User, the Rootkit will be installed (even for singleplayer only, while i could still play on Linux)... no ♥♥♥♥ storm or anything from this Windows User's.

But they will crying like little children and playing the innocent card when a attack like crowdstrike coming up and their system's joint a bot network and their passwords are stolen.

Its almost as if they stop updating VAC on older games.

VAC bans for known cheats. It also has a delay on when the ban will trigger to catch more people.

It works so well that this section https://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/9/ is constantly full of new topics and have always been for the past 10+ years. From people who all have been VAC banned and there are people who bought "VAC PROOF" cheats but still got banned.

Developers are free to use VAC if they use Steamworks. But I believe they need to be the ones who add to the Anti cheat library of cheats that they want to see banned.
