all the testing says GG is good, at least what little the people have done here.

there have been no error logs, dumps, etc. from anyone having problems... so noone knows for sure. there are only complaints

if you want to be 100% sure, use linux. check the linux thread here for that testing

EDIT: devs been fixing a lot of problems, whitelisting apps, etc.

Yeah I do appreciate the whitelisting of apps from the devs. All I care about is not losing my harddrive as it has all my games on it and more. So if that wont happen anymore, then Ill buy the game for sure. I made this post because I saw someone post that their HDD got bricked from the game 3 days ago.

Have you noticed any differences yet with your PC ever since you bought the game?

Some guy just reported his SSD died 8 hours ago in the mega thread so, the odds that yours will die isn't impossible
also to answer the question of "can it be fixed" with GG? No, not with how the software is made more than likely.

It never was bricking anything, more than likely the issues that have surfaced have some underlining issues that were not addressed. As for bricking, no, the drives are more than likely recoverable and could have been saved with the proper software. I haven't had any issues and the game runs just fine, and still working fine

it's not a guaranteed brick or error or bsod.

however it's like gambling to see if the software like your pc or not.

if its not, you will suffer, ranging from random software crashes to consistent crashes, drivers processes ended etc etc

it's way too dated of a piece of software to be allowed to run at kernel lvl

If it bricks a drive that drive had problems. SSD firmware not updated or just bad drives (970 EVO's) and such.

This guy has been spreading positive immoral misinformation for months. Anyone who has done 5 minutes of research knows that GG or Helldivers 2 bricked GPUs, MOBOs and drives. See this thread where someone lost two SSDs in sequence. Isn't it amazing how much faulty hardware we have specifically in this game alone?

Tell me about it. Going even further, I have no idea why they're sifting through month old posts necroing them just so they can do their usual "I haven't had any issues, game runs fine." ad nauseum. Look at the date on the post before theirs, they literally had to slide back several pages just to come into the thread and contribute nothing of value for the umpteenth million time.

That they've already been caught red-handed evading a ban and continue to dispense absolute nothings which is effectively spam wherever they post and still they haven't been removed while others get the boot for far far less. Very peculiar moderation :^)

these are called discussions, if they aren't meant to be responded to then they should get locked, go ask Steam. Either way it doesn't matter nothing was being bricked, they misspoke and it needed corrected.
