Sample cheat
I joined a terminid raid and dropped as the two man team was extracting. I noticed once we extracted they had failed the raid and only taken out two nests, but it said they recovered 1000 samples. When we got back to the ship I was immediately kicked form the lobby and returned to my ship. When I checked my inventory I saw all my sample items were maxed out. I tried to find a way to contact the devs but there seems to be no email to reach via steam and the devs have private accounts (understandably). Is my account at risk since I joined their raid?

That sounds like someone found an exploit and you fell into it. I mean something like that can be fun if its boarderlands 1,2,3, because custom weapons are bonkers. But like this game.... that doesn't... that just messes up your personal experience and the whole schlog of making things better over time.

Eh I mean I already have all my ship upgrades, i'm just grinding level 50 now so samples are pretty worthless unless the devs add more modules in future updates.. My only concern is the anticheat flagging me for being part of the lobby even though I joined a random match.

It's a memory swap cheat. Basically, the numbers for samples are always multiplied by 100, so you end up to 2000 samples each in the end of the mission. Since cap is 500 250 100, that's what you get in the end.
