PC Hard Freezes On Exit

Whenever I exit the game, my PC freezes at the desktop. I have to hold the power to restart. Otherwise in game, I'm running at 100fps with most settings maxed. While my PC does get warm (I even had a temp prog up to watch if that's the issue), it's not getting to the point that my gpu would seize up.

Edit/Update: I have found via event manager that the exe for the game refuses to release and hangs the system. Alt-F4'ing out of the game prevents the crash, most of the time; as I'm suspending the exe instead of trying to exit the game.

okay, well you were done with the game so you could just restart your PC, if you got fast boot enabled it should only take a few seconds to reboot.

I'd be willing to bet that it's the anticheat hanging the system.

It was fine before but it just started to freeze whenever I exit the game too. Rtx 3070, intel 14700k

Same here. Almost everytime I exit the game the PC will freeze...I bet it's due to the anticheat software. When the system freeze occurs and restart the PC, an edge webpage will open up when relaunching the game. The webpage is related to the anticheat software troubleshooting. Anyone else in this situation?

This keeps happening to me. No fix yet.

I do alt+CLT+del and press sign out. Saves me from restarting the whole PC

If it's as simple as that, I'll do it again right now. Please update again after a few more sessions to let us know if it's continued to be stable.

I'm having the same problem. Verifying the game files didn't work. Anyone find a fix?

I tried uninstalling the game and never playing again. It worked for a while, but then I started playing again and the problem came back.

Yea, this is an annoying one. Happened to me when I first played, happened again just now. One of several bugs I've encountered last few days.

Its happening to me too. I started exiting the game via task manager without using the in game exit button. that way the game doesn't hang

I found a fix that's faster and better than just rebooting your PC if you're having this issue. Hope this helps. (Note: A solution for Windows PC)
