Console interactions bugged

The problem: When I interact with a console to plug in any input using the WASD, instead of putting in the command, the character just walks away from the console. This happens at both the arcade and dirtside/planet side during missions.

My friends have no problem interacting with the consoles.

Things I've tried so far, Verified files, Reinstalled the game, updated all drivers, swapped out keyboards. Nothing fixes this massive game breaking bug. It's caused me to fail missions and when I play with friends, they have to do the consoles on my behalf. Making the game play all that much more of a drag.

It is making the game unplayable for most of the missions. If it isn't just press W, then it's broken for me.

Odd too because when I first started to play this game, it worked just fine within the first 2 hours. Then after some patch, it completely broke it. Not a clue which patch it was.

I solved the problem on my PC. After I disconnected my xbox controller the console works as intended.

I had this issue as well. I was able to fix it by enabling xbox controller support in steam settings. Steam->settings->controller -> toggle on enable steam input for xbox controllers. Don't know why that fixed it but it did. I didn't even have a controller plugged in.

I don't even own an xbox controller. I've tried this and still cannot interact with the console. Perhaps I should go buy one just to plug it in and unplug it to see if that solves it. If it does then they need to fix it asap. Then again, I don't ever plan on buying one. lmao
