How do I skip the Sony Interactive Entertainment/PS Studios opening animation?

I have over an hour and a half of "play time" in this game of repeated attempts freezing during this damn publisher advert at the start of the game. Unlike Helldivers, the sequel does not skip through this with the space bar or any other key I've tried.

Is there a Steam launch setting to eliminate it? I am curious to see if the game itself is playable once I get past the opening animation. (NOT the opening cinematic, the actual PS studios one)

Bump - sorry for the bump, but if anyone knows how I could skip this opening animation I have the (hopefully not vain) hope that it'll let me play.
