Unable to unlock difficulty higher than easy

I've completed all of my missions on these planets and nothing I'm doing is unlocking medium. i've been stuck on easy and I can't figure out what to do or if I'm broken. Does anyone have the basics on what I need to do to unlock these difficulties? all of my friends who have only played with me have unlocked up through challenging.

having the same problem, its been 3 days for me. and almost lv 20 now. a lv 4 character is on challenger difficulty and mine is still on easy.

You have to do all the missions in one of the orange "zones" which then counts as "Operation" on a difficulty to unlock the following one.
IDK might help to quickly redo the tutorial and do the easy thing as Host if you didn't yet

I've been stuck on medium for over a week now, cant do any higher difficulties unless i join a friend.
Yes I am completing the entire 2 mission series on medium. I've done it atleast once on almost every planet.

Same but stick at Extreme, can't unlock Suicide.

That doesn't make any sense, regardless I've tried doing all of multiple clusters of missions. iv'e been stuck at easy since launch (when I could actually get in). My buddy who has ONLY played with me has medium unlocked. I have to have him host to do above easy. I sat there last night doing mission after mission in those clusters and it never worked.
