The game shut down my laptop
So I'm using a gaming laptop with Intel Core i9-13980HX, 64 gb DDR5 RAM and nvidia RTX4080 Laptop GPU, and the game has killed my laptop 4 times (suddenly shut down like you hit some protection protocol when temperature or some sort of stuffs are getting critical). This is the only game I had encounter such problem, and I'm damn sure my laptop is in a good condition. Since it is a shutdown so I'm uncertain about error codes or crash logs existing, so I'm telling when these shutdown just happened. Three of the shutdown happened when completing the mission and the anime shows Pelican-1 returning to the Super Destroyer in the orbit (which the next scene would be your character standing in the bridge) and on of the shutdown happened when I step my character into the hell pod for a deploy. I really like this game, but the constant shutdown had scared my ♥♥♥♥ out and have to worry about it damaging my laptop. Any explanation from Arrowhead or any solution that might help my fella Helldivers?

Have you found a fix? I believe we might have the same or similar laptops, I also have the same CPU and GPU. Mine also turns off as soon as I get passed the login queue and turned off immediately after the tutorial.

Same here my laptop shuts down I have the same specs of your laptop but I have the strix. I’m guessing it’s the game that needs to get fixed the losgest it’s lasted is 4 hours, but usually it latest one mission

I have an ROG Strix as well, this random shut down happened to me twice. Looking at the event viewer just shows that the system shut down without being commanded to do so. I think it could be something to do with temps? But that can't be since my laptop is basically brand new.

Specs: RTX 4080 Intel I9 13980HX 1TB SSD 64GB RAM

Same issue with ROG STRIX, RTX4080. Random shutdown at hellpod launch or getting back to the spaceship (starting or ending of a mission). Synthetic stress test showed no issues. Temps are generally high during gaming.

Go to game exe, go to Properties, go to Compatibility tab, set Run as Administrator.
