audio crackle is insane
i don't see many if any people complaining about this so i'm convinced it might be a me issue. but i've never had this issue with any other game, there's just way too much audio cracke/static noise. no clue how to fix this.

check your CPU utilization, audio buffering can be a result of your system being over flooded

Hahaha other players make this. Have played with couple of players who was not playing not headset but normal speakers and their microphone was taking up their shooting noises and echo it to a game :p

I also have a audio issue. almost like a constant ring. The ring goes away when I go into menu or if im on the ship but is almost constantly there while i roam around on a mission. almost like a lazer noise but a little more high pitched. Very annoying.

IT IS NOT JUST YOU!
I've even heard it build up in some peoples short videos.

I've ended up turing off the Music and Voice (I know voice isn't the first choice, but for me it's always just listening to other peoples lives in the background - so Im okay with out it for rando.) I also turned everything down from !! and tweaked levels.

The crackles seems like it comes when all the audio layers start ramping up together. Like lots of drops or all of he guns and everything going at once. Even had some moments for me that felt as if I almost started o get a frame drop as the crackling got out of control.

It's not the '90's, I'm pretty sure we don't need to be upgrading our sound cards like back in the day!

Just to clear out the obvious, check your mic cables and run some tests

If you are using a bluetooth headset, check your settings and turn off Telephony.

Open Devices and Printers from Hardware and Sound within the Control Panel
Expand the Bluetooth headphone listed under Devices by double clicking it
Switch to the Services tab within the Properties dialog
Turn off Hands-free Telephony and click OK

Just to make clear for some people who may not understand:

This audio crackle ALSO happens with just regular speakers. It is not just bluetooth audio. I've tested multiple setup myself and I get crackle no mater what at some point.
