Moving slower than other players

I have a very slow movement speed when compared to other helldivers. My sprint is slightly slower than their normal walk speed. I am wearing medium armor and am not currently being affected by the slow debuff as this slowness persists even on the ship when I first sign in.

I have found a couple other people who are having this issue like in the below post, but so far have not figured out what is causing it or how to correct it.

My PC is on the lower end, but other than this slow movement I am running the game fine as far as I am concerned.

Anyone have any ideas on what might be causing this or how to fix it?

It's low FPS IIRC. It's really bizarre movement speed is tied to FPS.

I did! Icarus was correct it was a frame rate issue. My game had poor frame rate which was limiting my movement speed.

My frame rate issues were being caused by the CPU on my laptop overheating. I was able to resolve the issue by popping off the back panel of my laptop and using compressed air to clear out dust buildup in my fans. This fixed my overheating problem, which in turn fixed my frame rate and move speed problems.

Since the issue is frame rate related I'd suggest turning down the graphics settings in game as another potential solution for your friend.

We have tried this and the FPS isn’t the issue. They are at a steady 60 FPS like me and they are running at like 2% of speed, even on the ship.

Same problem here, we are 4 and 1 of us is going like 2% speed in his ship and in game, no internet problems or anything like that.

Same issue. It can be funny at extraction, but it is mostly just frustrating.

Same problem. The sprint of my character is just slower than other players. They will continually run past me and clear out an objective before i can even get there. Thought it might be a framerate issue, but no amount of tweaking the resolution or performance of the game seems to fix it.

same issue here. my friend always run faster than me. he is wearing medium armor but I am always wearing light armor.
