CPU Reaching 100C + Temps

Hi,

Quick specs are, 4080, 360mm Lian li cooler, 13700k. When on the ship of this game the cpu spikes to 100C +. Before you say check cooling etc this doesnt happen in any other game.

Changed the graphics settings / capped the fps and nothing.

Any advice?

I'm running a 5800x3d on air which is known for running hot inside a fractal r5 with restricted front airflow and it doesn't go above 70c.

Seems to happen to a few people and might be related to the game just making the hardware think it's on 100°C. But it might also be a bug with certain CPUs, so I wouldn't bet on that being harmless.

Search for that exact issue on this forum and you'll find other threads with the same problem, also citing the 100°C temperature, with people in those threads probably being more up to date than I am.

CPU always below 70C when running the game

i only reach 90C+ on a CPU benchmark

nprotect gameguard is known to be blocking the majority of software' access to hardware, this include but not exclude to your temperature reading software, sadly there will be nothing you can do on this but to accept the fact that your software is now bricked while it is running
