Can't use directional inputs when inputting combos.

So inputting Stratagems in combat works. I press CTRL, then I do the hadooken or whatever with WASD, and I get the stratagem I need, that works fine.

However any terminal that also requires WASD input will not work (Outpost terminals, Stratagem hero, etc). I would press E to start interacting, and as soon as I press any directional key, my character would move in the direction I've pressed and stop interacting with the terminal. If it's a simple combo input or numerical code, I can do that. By interacting with the terminal again and inputting the next command and repeating this process (that's how I did the terminal in the tutorial.), but the ones where you need to move cursor on a grid would not respond at all. I have to rely on people in my group to do that for me, which sucks a bit.

Is there any fix for this sort of thing? I super do not want to remap stratagem keys to something else.

There are some WIN-FUNCTIONS chained with the CTRL+[insert here button] so on some PCs it doesn't works based on the software you have installed and based on windows version (w10 or w11).

I have rebinded the stratagem key to another button and it works without issues.

You are one of the few that have something that is using the CTRL for other windows functions due to windows itself (mostly W11) or because a software uses it.

Try to rebind it too to something else

I have mine on R (also.. i have a mouse with more than 20 buttons so basically all the keyboard buttons are binded in my mouse and i use most of the functions from there, just fews are on the keyboard at this point) and it works.

We aren't talking about stratgems were talking about the console where you have to input the directions to extract...etc.

I had the same issue, unplugging my controller solved the issue for me.

this fixed it for me as well, guess its something with the system reading two controller input types
