I often miss the chat while I am enjoying the game.
I use the text-to-speech feature for this purpose. How can I change the default voice pitch, speed and volume?

It's utilizing Windows text-to-speech, so what ever your default text-to-speech voice you have set. In Windows search for 'Speech Settings', this should bring directly to the screen where you can change what voice is narrating the text-to-speech for you.
