Game crashes when choosing a planet

I've played for 16 hours without a problem, but after today's update, every time I try to choose a planet OR location on a planet, the game crashes.

Did you find a fix? I’m having the same problem as half my playtime has been spent in queue and then I finally get in to learn I have a new problem

Same problem, you wait in the queue for about 30 minutes. Just to crash the second you pick any planet. I've tried 3 times now with 3 different planets and it crashes every time.

I just bought the game. When I finished the tutorial, I started heading for the war table to select a planet, and then it happened: it crashed. And it keeps happening. If someone knows a way to fix this, I'll appreciate it. Thank you.

same problem. I'm lvl 33, no problem till today. At the writing of this have spent 4½ hours trying to log on only to crash when selecting a planet. aswell as my name is now (unknown) Death Captain. Very odd.

so my friend said I was appearing offline, I full quit steam / relaunched and this problem went away for me, also appearing online now

I am getting tire of the game being buggy and just being a pain to play. I love the game play when its working but damn it, I am probably just going to abandon HD2 till maybe 2 or 3 months for now.

Just got the same issue after the patch. Any solutions?
