D-pad and analogue stick have swapped

Right in the middle of a mission my D-pad and analogue stick switched controls, if I use the D-pad I move and the stick does emotes and stuff, no idea how this could have happened, have restarted and replugged everything.
the controller binding menu says the default controls (stick for move, ect)
I've also tested the controllers input to my PC and that is coming through correctly as well.

I have no clue how this happened during a game and what caused it.

I just had this issue tonight as well. No idea what caused it or how to fix it.

Looks like it's a controller issue not a Helldivers issue. On my controller pressing in left stick and Select at the same time switched it back. On other controllers it's Turbo+Start apparently.

O yea, forgot I made this thread, it was a controller issue, I tested it in other games and as the problem got worse it was obviously a controller issue.
