Black screen at startup

When I start the game from Steam or from a desktop icon I see the NGuard Logo and then the game starts fullscreen. The screen is blank and I don't hear any audio. I'm on the latest version as of 2/14/2024 and my graphics drivers are all up to date. Anything I can do to report this to Arrowhead for a fix?

I waited 5 mins and it came back but ya know day two of owning it 3 hours of so called play time of me sitting looking at servers at capacity I'm getting real sick of this

- It could be a server issue, the devs have noticed this already and are "working on it." I think that just means they are popping champagne and eating steak.

Updating my driver helped with how long the black screen takes. Still servers are full and even when I do get into the game, the second I try and select a mission, my game crashes. Is this an issue anyone else is having?

i was having the same problem i just continued to alt+f4 when it stayed black for more then 3-5min lets say untill around the 10th time of me doing that i was able to load and start the painful servers at capacity please try again later

Got in a couple hours ago. Been playing until now. (After some blackscreen and waiting)
I may have helped friend get in too as I sen Invite. However they ended up alone.

I solo'd a bit. NO other random players listed on planets. No one dropped in.
Markets and Upgrades seemed to work, and collected stuff appears to accumulate again.
I did eventually see some friend markers pop up, but that's it.

If you only solo and get it, you'll be fine.
I'm a bit fearful of trying to join others and I assume I'll crash.

This time I let it cook and it went through. Interestingly enough it made me rechoose language and acknowledge TOS... as if I did a fresh install.

If you use any monitoring software, I'd disable it. I stopped MSI Afterburner and the game doesn't black screen any more.
