Black screen at startup

When I start the game from Steam or from a desktop icon I see the NGuard Logo and then the game starts fullscreen. The screen is blank and I don't hear any audio. I'm on the latest version as of 2/14/2024 and my graphics drivers are all up to date. Anything I can do to report this to Arrowhead for a fix?

For me it happens if I close the game after seeing the servers full message. If I try to open it next time, black screen. To fix it I have to do a full reverify of the game files.. beyond frustrating! Seems like some file is being corrupted whenever the game is closed on that screen?

restarting my pc fixed the black screen issue, but servers are full so I cant play the 70 dollar game I just bought L

its funny. i managed to get in. and i saw that there is litterally less then 180k people playing right now from what ive added. they are not FULL.. and i think 23k afk? on super earth?

edit: as of now on the east coast halifax. 8:14 the pop just spiked beyond 200k of active players not afk on super earth. something seems fishy.. they are not even near 250k players..

As a side note when you verify files there's a small window that asks if you want to uninstall the anti-cheat software, you have to say yes in order to proceed, I missed for several minutes.

So I tried everything just about to give up too then I decided to run the game and make some food and what do you know it works I think the black screen is just a loading sequence. But I could be wrong

UPDATE: After waiting through black screen, let the game sit for another 10-15 minutes attempting to login and it worked, bout to hell dive! Hopefully this helps someone just be patient and let it do it’s thing.

Same; left it sitting on the black screen, eventually got to the server at capacity screen. Left that in the background and played some hearthstone, now I'm in... Patience :)

Their Twitter account posted about 2 hours ago that demand is outpacing how quickly they can roll out new servers. Tranquilo.

I Have an answer, to all of you who are having black screen issues. and this is coming from someone who has tried the following:

*restart PC
*Verify Integrity
*Reinstall game
*Updated Graphics Drivers
*Deleted/Renamed/Moved AppData/.../user.config file
* Installed/Updated VC++ Redist 2022 x86/x64
* Launched Game with -dx11 in launch commands with steam overlay disabled

None of these options worked for me. however. in attempting to identify the issue I was running a wireshark capture combined with a process scrubbing tool trying to identify where the game hangs. It seems at a cursary view that the black screen is an alternate to the full game server issue. instead of the game telling you the server is full when your initial connection is attempting to be made to the servers all the ports are used up and it hangs. including the connection to some sort of zone that tells you the servers are full. what did eventually work and i'm not saying this is a fix by any means was to literally just wait like 45 minutes on a black screen until a port opens up from on the servers. Its not ideal and its by no means a fast solution but if you have tried everything above and get a blackscreen try extra patience. and i mean like extra. go watch a tv show or youtube and leave it running on black screen

Bruh, i crashed while waiting in queue and got the black screen. Came hunting for answers after i changed to my laptop and had the same issue there. THANK GOD ITS NOT ME! Just wait, it takes a few minutes but i heard it come to life :) Cheers all!!!
