Hell Divers 2 in Egypt

I've just bought Hell Divers 2 yesterday, must say i was super excited to play the game, however i haven't been able to play a single Multi-player game, and i always get the same error "Failed to join Lobby" i can only play solo and that's it, i've searched online and found out that multiple Egyptian Players are having the same issue too, and we can't enjoy the game because of it, not to mention that the wait time for "Quick Play" is almost infinite

As far as ive figured. Its bec of a law that has been written that all unautherized the voip in egypt is banned. It is made to ensure landline monopoly of telecom egypt to boost their revenue while also putting all communications under surveillance. Due to that you cannot connect to the servers as it seems that the connection relies on voip. You could play hd2 only through vpn (which is also banned in egypt). In case of ps5, ggwp, no game for you. And devs probably wont care to fix it as it would be simply not worth it.

The only issue is, i have over 6 different games running with Voip normally like COD, GTA, BF 2042 also on my Meta Quest, so that doesn't resolute to the conclusion you provided, i've checked tracepackets for the game log and it does not show that the failure is due to voip misconnection or rejection from the ISP but due to server rejection by the game.

Hi , I am from Turkmenistan and I am having the same issue (I think) Its blocked by my ISP, how do you do HD2 server tracing ? what are the ports? if you could tell, it will help me out a lot!

For all Helldivers In Egypt!

This solution only works from PC Players only sadly ( working on finding a way to fix it on PS)

If you have we internet First You need to contact the CS (ISP) to update your Protocol
(ask them if they are blocking DNS use if they said no then ask if there is any update needed to protocols to connect to the DNS you want "for work purposes" if they said no then you its okay u just need to install an older verison)

(For Vodafone internet sadly from testing WARP doesn't work)

Download Cloudflare WARP 1.1.1.1 DNS and activate it !

If warp wont connect first make sure you dont have VPN connected or any kind of connection interfearing if you are not then you might need older version

If WARP is connected and still cant play with others then try VPN (sadly from testing only paid VPN works )

If both doesn't work then i really don't know ! Because figuring out that WARP work was 100% accidental try when me and my friend were trying to figure out a solution

Not sure if this helps, but I was getting that all the time. Forgot I had my VPN running. Disabled it while playing and I connect no problem now.

The game is a little beyond ♥♥♥♥♥♥ right now so you might need to wait a few days anyway since everything in game is broken at the moment

The weird thing is that when I first started playing after few failed attempts to join, I was playing a solo mission and suddenly 3 players joined me instantly and we played the whole mission together .. afterwards it never happened again and I was never able to connect to any other players (whether join them or invite them to join me, 30 hours into the game now) ... so not sure how that happened with the VOIP thing being an issue.

Also why didn't they use some other voice chat system like all the other online games that work just fine in Egypt like Overwatch, Diablo 4, Fortnite, PUBG .. etc etc etc.

I heard on Discord that players from Africa in general were having issue joining online games but if you add them as friends you can play with each other and circumvent the issue, haven't tried that yet, I will install the game again and we maybe can try that.
