I would advise checking your ISP for any relevant info on specific settings for games, such as port forwarding.
I have actually done port forwarding on it.. one of many things I tried... it worked with no issues for over a week... then it don't.. then it did for a day.. then it don't... i'ts incredibly inconsistent
You can circumvent the problem by manually forwarding ports that Helldivers 2 is using. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3156517659
And it really shouldn't happen if you have done it correctly.
So more or less.. to avoid the router going crazy trying to block incoming and outgoing packets. It shouldn't really be a problem any more, but.. you know.. ISPs saving pennies on using the ARM-chipset with 256kb cache instead of 1Mb.. So the connection table is full if you stream netflix, have a torrent running, and try to do one more thing.
While solo is ok, you can forget multiplayer because you get kicked when losing the connection, also losing discord Vocie-chat.
I am connected over ethernet to a router(that connnects to the modem) and also tried wifi directly to the modem, game kills both connections. Strange my main-pc is connected to the same router with no problems while playing. Both Asus-MBs Main PC is on Ryzen 7xxx with Nvidia GPU(40xx) Windows 11, Second PC(Problem-Child) is Ryzen 3xxx with nvidia GPU(30xx) Windows 10. I also tried port forwarding, verify game-files with no success. 2 days ago (28.06.2024) i could play a long mission with no problems.
Today(30.06.) steam and game-disconnect messages in intervalls of 10 to 15 minutes.
I was wondering what hardware is used by the people here with the problems?
Maybe everybody with the problem here uses Win10 and updating to W11 would solve it or its all on AM4-Mainboards(remembering the USB-cutouts at the start of ryzen 3XXX release)
I would like to add (if no-one has yet)
-Define which program that can use this rule.
(Make rule - open rule - go to program and services - select the (file).exe
But yeh.. this is so bad design, it should be implemented auto like other games so you dont risk opening for un-wanted access, but ey - what do i know
