Unable to join friends

its happening to everyone. Devs have not acknowledged it. Game is pretty much completely broken and a waste of money without the ability to squad up.

Just started to happen to me today as well, gets messages alternating between "Failed to connect to lobby" or "Private lobby" depending on what the game feels like.

We've all been playing just fine for weeks, and today it's nigh impossible, if someone is able to join, the others won't be able to. We've all tried to restart both game and computers and switch between friends only and public lobby, no dice.

Weren't the lobbies supposed to be P2P?

started 4 days ago for me cant join any games or friends i had a lucky break last night and played 1 1/2 half games before i got black screen and thrown back onto the bridge of my ship....

i can say i know im effected by it when my steam friend list shows im playing helldivers but im in main menu and not "on ship" even though im in the game solo works fine but multiplayer says error cant join game

tested on another computer and it works fine but to old to run it but i can connect to freinds and players

Also having this issue. Party up, dive down, randomly crashes, can't rejoin. Lobby is private... but WE ARE FRIENDS. Fix it.

Try to change to public network in your network setting (for windows) if you have private. Worked for me.

Joining via steam friends list has been working. In game does not

1 month have this game, never can play with anyone, also can't have a mission more than difficult

You can get around this by joining and inviting from your steam friends list instead of using the in-game menu. Its the only way I've been able to play with my friends for the last week, but its worked each time. If someone disconnects or gets dropped, you have to invite them back the same way.

Writing this on 2024/11/27 and I'm still getting this issue. Tried a few "fixes" online and joining through Steam and nothing works. Wish I could come here with answers but alas...

I've been having problems connecting to other players - turned out that when I uninstalled "Gigabyte Speed" - software that was meant to speed up internet connection, the problem vanished. If You have this or any other software that od supposed to speed up internet connection - try to uninstall It.
