**UPDATE TEMP FIX ** AMD Radeon 7900XTX crashes all the time
Hello everyone. New here to discussion pages because this game is just so fun. But its only fun when im actually able to play it. At the moment its completely unplayable due to stutters and contsant crashing. All temps are normal and I even tried locking the frames at 90FPS and still receiving constant crashes. The only method I found to be a somewhat "cure" is to run my computer in Power Save Mode in the windows power management area. Does anyone know any way around this? Or if it will be fixed in a later release?

Thank you!

**EDIT**
Upon further testing of the game and with all the help of those who have replied. What has seemed to stabilized the game best is
1. to run the computer in Balanced, or Power save mode in windows settings.
2. Limit your GPU to not Exceed a clock speed of 2700Mhz (you can create a custom profile in AMD Adrenaline settings for HD2 specifically. Leave Voltage as is, do not decrease it.
3. Enable Radeon Chill (if you have an AMD Card of course, Not sure what the alternative is for Nvidia.
3. Limit FPS in game and in AMD software to 90FPS (If Geforce has a FPS limiter, enable that and set to 90.
4. You should now be able to enjoy the game. Also this is for DX12 with this temp fix. It has not been tested with the force DX11 command. again your mileage may vary. Feel free to discuss below if this helps!

RTX 3080, every second game crashes... They broke something after new warbond. Every game someone leaves from server, suppose they are crashing too.

Thanks for the suggestion! but I am already on the latest driver version for the 7000 series which is 24.2.1 and the issue still occurs.

Dang that sucks to hear its happening with Nvidia too. Have you tried capping the frame rate or running the computer in power save mode ?

I have a 7900 XTX and 7800 X3D processor. I never have any problems with lag or stuttering, but I crash every 2nd or 3rd game anyway. I have played probably a dozen other games on this PC without issue.

I have tried running in DirectX 11, disabling global illumination, running in Eco mode at a cap of 60 fps, changing max GPU frequency to 2400, changing the GPU power limit to -10%, closing out all other applications while running the game, verifying files on Steam, and have changed multiple other in game settings. Nothing works. I did just reinstall the game because for the third time this week when I checked the game files, it has told me that 2-3 files are missing and would be reacquired, but the crashes keep happening anyway. I don't know why game files would continue to go missing. I think this game is the buggiest experience I have ever had in my 25+ years of PC gaming.

Ive done everything youve mentioned here. but one thing that also helped is running power save mod from windows power plan. It decreased my CPU draw a ton and I think that may be an issue that is happening. I was running HYPR-X ECO with the windows power saving mode and it helps a lot. Im actually able to complete missions now. crashes mostly happen now when playing online with friends. So Im thinking its something possibly cpu bound with this specific graphics cards. I have a Ryzen 9 5900X paired with XFX 7900 XTX.

have you all windows updates and latest bios installed?

you can also try to install latest cpu + gpu driver.

Also having same issue, constant crashing, so freaking annoying. (have 7900XTX too)

seems to have occurred after the patch though, someone brought it up, I wasn't crashing before. I made it to level 40 like no problem

On a 7900 xtx and constant crashes. I think I've tried every suggestion from graphics settings, to bios settings, ddu'd and reinstalled/updated all drivers, dx11, undervolting/limiting gpu clock, and while I can occasionally play a round or two, the crashing is constant.

I've stress tested the system with various utilities, including other more demanding games, tried removing RAM sticks, tried installing on other drives, am running a good 1000w psu, and again, no luck.

If you look around, people with this card are having the same issue. Some are able to play on lower resolutions with only occasional crashes (1440p), but it's definitely a driver issue.

Try this:
Reducing GPU Max frequency to 2700Mhz completely resolved my crashing issues on my 7900XTX
This resolve helped me

Custom tuning, changing power to -10% resolved my issues. My last issue is the game alt-tabs out sometimes.

dito card is limited to 2800mhz, no driver crash since

MERC 7900XTX: Just did the max clock change, down to 2650… it defaults to 3100 for some reason, ever since I did that, I’m back in Native render with ultra/high settings… the only thing I have off is the space lighting. No crashes yet. This can’t be the issue right? I’m shocked it’s actually working with no crashes right now and it looks/plays amazing.

Are you guys limiting the card via the adrenaline software or other software such as MSI afterburner?
