WIN 11 AMD RX 6900: Game won't start, GPU missing Direct3D feature level 12_0

Played yesterday, everything fine.
Wanted to play today:
game guard window flashes up,
second game guard window with progress bar apperes,
black screen, but no game launch.

Things done: Steam checked for file integrity, 2 files replaced, no effect on the bug.

Does Helldivers 2 or Game Guard log the errors while starting the game?
It seems to me that Game Guard prevents the launch with some error code, but the window closes to fast to get it.

I was able to catch the error message by alt+tab fast:
"Requires a graphic card that supports at least Direct3D feature level 12_0."

I use Windows 11 and a AMD RADEON RX 6900 XT (reccomended is a AMD Radeon RX 6600XT, so my GPU should not be the problem).
Radeon driver is 24.3.1 from 13. March 2024, not the new from 15. May 2024.

Same issue here, I played using only the AMD radeon graphics on friday, and sunday was no go. Black screen after the cheat software. Until the game window is closed, yet shows as running on the steam window.

I've tested file integrity, the 2 file bug issue happened, I moved to another drive, same thing, will not launch after the gameGuard popup.

Tried installing a copy from another PC, where game does run. It is not working on this one an AMD Ryzen 5 6000

I tried downloading a fresh copy, and also removing GameGuard so it would install again during launch,
I've also uninstalled Steam with all its library, to no effect. Runned dskchk, no issues there.

Should I try to boot a fresh windows?

Same issue here (after update). System is a Radeon RX6700XT with AMD Ryzen5 7600 on a Windows 11 64-Bit. The game starts up, the nProtect Window shows together with the splash-screen, and after that the game goes to full blackscreen and freezes up. The game shows as running in Steam even after it is killed via Taskmanager. I allready tried re-installing (including full windows install). After using the Steam file check it reportet 2 corrupted files too but re-downloading them did not fix the issue. The game ran fine until recently.

All in all the game is unplayable now :(

(tried to downgrade the graphics card drivers to the version from the 13th of april (31.0.24027.1012 did not fix the problem )

Hi all, apparently, while monitoring Windows resources, the gamguard app is creating Memory errors, over 224 of them during launch, the screen stays black during the intro movie. The game sound tells you are now on the ship and after a while, the game crashes. I've tried to modify the type of graphics from NVIDIA to integrated AMD Ryzen 5 6000 series to no luck, using a controller. There was an error with GameGuard, I'll try and delete all related files for GG from the install folder and restart PC, and then launch the game. brb

...and now it's not even starting game guard if i try to launch Helldivers 2.

I ran a win correction installation (no files removal, only correction from Win image) did not work. So I decided to install Win from zero. It worked! apparently the last update got some files corrupted in windows.

Yeah, silly me. Every gamer knows: Intel Pentium CPU Inside and a 3dfx GPU rules.

Yes, I have the same problem, I chose the processor instead of the graphics card when adjusting the game graphics, I think that's why I don't know, I can't return it, my money was wasted :( please tell me how you solved it

Just a question ? When you re installed Windows, did you re install it from a install medium (older Win Version) or have you downloaded and installed it from a online Source (newest and patched Win Version). Because i tried re installing the newest Win Version and it did not fix the issue. Interestingly downgrading the driver for the Radeon Card to a Version which did work before did not fix the Issue either.. So windows might be the culprit there, because apparently a lot of games have issues in the last time.. This Radeon ? Bug however is real and nasty because it totally prevents the owners of such systems from playing..

Try re installing (as admin and also run the game .exe as admin) the older DX runtime, the offline or web installer can be found on the MS site - https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/download/details.aspx?id=8109

game never worked on my rig. i've spend easily 6 hours trying to make it work. literally all my play time is from trying to get the trash to start.

Full Win install from download. Then, Nvidia video card update. I also tried inst the processors' "Adrenalin" software, it did not worked prior but the more the merrier.

First HD2 launch did not work. Second did. I'm never toggling to AMD Graphics again.

I do believe it is a windows issue though. All of this did happened along a windows update.

Bout why did I tried to run it on processor only? I got a Lenovo yoga ar work which runs it on Intel arc graphics, so, why not try?

Try running the game as Administrator.
