Failed to join lobby

I'm posting this everywhere I can think of to find a fix or being attention. I'm on the verge of demanding a refund.
No matter what I do I can't join other players. Picked lobbies, random quickplay, friends. Doesn't matter. Can't join and no one can join me.


Turned off cross play. Restarted game. Restarted pc. Reset router. Verified files. Reinstalled game. Tried solo dropping. Nothing works.

I'm on the verge of demanding refunds for all the copies I bought. If we can't play together, there's no reason in hell to even own it.

try ethernet cable or re-install C++ mines been unstable but since ethernet cable it seems to be a bit better but i think its server issues tbh

Same issues here, failed to join lobbies even my friends only see me as on main menu not even on ship.
I can dive solo and called an SOS beacon but nobody joins.

What does everyone here have in common? I am using Ubuntu, I am using an ASUS motherboard. I did nothing different, I was playing for 40 hours and suddenly it's a problem, don't know if it's an update from Ubuntu or the game that broke it, but it's sudden. Turning off firewall didn't work, I have no AV, and turning off crossplay and public games don't do anything.

both me and my friend are having this issue right now, this just suddenly started happening, it was fine last night. i can join other peoples games, and they can join me, but i cant join him, and he cant join me

same issue after leatest update, no way to join others game or no one is joining my game

I have had this problem since launch. Only fix was to connect to a VPN and then launch Helldivers 2.

I'm also having this issue, it's only been a problem since the latest update. Currently playing on version:

[release/01.000.304/12638] Installed today (May 18th at 20:19)

Unable to join my friends through steam or in game, confronted with the message 'unable to join server'. This has only been an issue since this current update, have 22hrs played previously with both friends and randoms in matchmaking.

Honestly, sometimes that works and sometimes it doesn't.. I found a different post on reddit stating that the connection is made to an azure cloud service and my friends and my intuition to this is that they probably have a limited amount of connections in their contract and thus at peak hours you won't get a slot to connect to others.. that's why vpn to a different location aka a different azure cloud connection service works... at least thats what we think... so indeed the only ones able to fix this is AH

+1, any invite i'm sent through steam will give me "Establishing uplink to host ship" then after a while, i'm told i'm "Unable to join game." All in-game systems skip the wait of the first step and give me an instant "Unable to join game." Steam validation has two files in need of validation, but after re-launching the game still has 2 files to change. The reddit post has too many solutions to run through, and half of them are situational, and the other half is playing off a wifi card i don't know that i have.

I was playing yesterday now I am also stuck at "Unable to join game" reinstalled, did the reddit tricks. Nothing. Playing on a new pc build a month ago.

I'm stuck with this too. Can solo but can't join any friend's game or quick play

Same here.

Absolutely no clear reason for all online play to suddenly END.

I'm in the same mind as others that they seem to block a number of player if servers are too full or some similar reason to interrupt all online play for some random people each day? : /

Last time I just played a solo mission and halfway through another player joined in, and things were back to normal for a while.

Drop outs seem completely random.

On another Note, once it does my Friends & I just jump onto another game and guess what?
No issues playing together !
