If you have constant crashes, try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable
I reinstalled Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable latest version (14.42.34433.0) from the official website and my game stopped crashing. I was able to play 6 missions without crashes! I do not guarantee that this is a 100% solution, but maybe it will help you.

anyone else confirm this works?

It worked for me atleast. Still some lagging, but far from as bad as it was before.

It should say version number 14.42.34438 after the installation.

So the issue was solved for me by:
  1. Uninstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2015-2022 both x86 and x64
  2. Installing the ones from here(x86) [aka.ms]
  3. here(x64) [aka.ms]
  4. Restarting the computer.

seemed to have worked. Just had 2 games, no crashes. I just installed the latest x86 and x64 ones, took 10 seconds.

Makes no difference at all. Last patch made the game crash frequently. Since the current patch i cannot (mostly) launch the game without hard crash on the PC. Sometimes when i get in it hard crashes when exfil... Guess i will have to wait until this actually gets sorted out.

I don't think you need to install x86 and x64 together, but only one of them depending on the system type (settings > system > about system). Most likely, you have x64 system like me and many others if your pc is not old.

That depends on the application, not the system. But if you have a x86 system you are also not able to install the x64 package.
