Cannot hear other player

It have been an issue for me since i bought the game 3 months ago, i filed a support ticket about that, (again 3 month ago) without any response, so at my wit's end, here i come.
I've lurked the forums a long time to solve this issue, without success :
- I don't have voicemeeter.
- My sound output in-game and windows are defaulted to the same (Speakers or Headset, tried both).
- I desactivated windows game bar, but tested with it, windows + G and setting soud output to default does not solve the issue.

Other player can hear me fine, i tested with friends, but when they use in-game voice-chat, I cannot hear them, and the icon showing they are talking does not even show so i have no way of knowing whenever someone is talking and i canoot hear them, or if they are using another voice-chat (discord, TS, ect...), or not talking alltogether.

It sounds like output settings. Make sure our default is set to headset in the sound settings. I had the opposite issue where I could hear but not talk. Mic worked in every other application. Try messing with this as it worked for me.

Windows search, type change system sound, click the playback tab, scroll down and find what your headset is labeled as (mine was Realtek(R). Set that as your default and reopen Helldivers 2. The bad thing is I have to do this every time I open the game but it allows my mic to be heard

Again, i do not have a mic problem, player can hear me just fine.
I however cannot hear them (be it headphone or speaker), whathever my settings, both in windows and in-game are, while i do recieve every other sound element.
